Hi Folks,

About 5:20 p.m. this evening I drove by a large flooded field on the southwest corner of the intersection of Fancher Rd. and County Line Rd. (see map here: https://goo.gl/maps/x5wsdXdGT8y)

There were lots of shorebirds in the field, but I couldn't stop to get a good look at any of them (seem to be a good variety just from size and shape alone). There is not a convenient pull-off around the field and this is a busy, dangerous intersection. Your best bet might be to negotiate a parking space in one of the driveways along County Line Rd. and then searching the field with a scope.

This field regularly floods and holds water for extended periods of time, but this is the first season I've noticed it attracting birds. Last week it attracted a large number of Bonaparte's Gulls.

Good luck!

Casey Tucker
