ncluding some birds that didn't realize that migration was over, and a few others that weren't sure about where they should be. In the former category were -Olive-sided Flycatcher - flycatching from a snag along Tullymore Dr on the edge of Trabue Preserve, certainly not a resident there -Black-billed Cuckoo - one around the pond at Trabue, either a late migrant or a wanderer In the latter category were -Henslow's Sparrow - 1 signing in the meadow north of the windmill at Glacier Ridge. No Savannah or Grasshopper Sparrows here, so it must have grown up a bit too much for them -Marsh Wren - 1 was singing near the tower at the Honda wetlands; good habitat for them, they just often aren't around there More expected (but still pleasing) included -Bobolinks - at least 2 males were still singing in the north meadow at Glacier Ridge -Orchard orioles - pairs were carrying food at both the wetland and along the north bike loop at Glacier Ridge -Summer Tanager - 1 was calling in McKitrick Woods, off the corner of McKitrick Road and Hyland-Croy ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
