There were 2 Black-necked stilts at Howard Metropark in Curtice (Toledo), Ohio (Lucas County). They were where the road turns left toward the parking area on the right at 3:30. They were not bothered at all by us sitting in the car and lots of traffic going by. Close enough for quality video with my phone. My old 2002 "Ohio Bird Records Committee Checklist of the Birds of Ohio" shows no records from the 1st week of June and only 2 in the last week of May. (Is there an update to this by the way?) Funny story by the way, my wife and I talked about this very bird (and others) at the Toledo Museum of Art while viewing the Before Audubon: Alexander Wilson's Birds of the United States not an hour before seeing these 2 beautiful birds. What a cool addition to northwest Ohio and bird habitat. Good job Toledo Metroparks!
