For your information and comment I am including the current installation schedule as outlined in the contract MU has with NEC. =========================================================================== NETWORK INSTALLATION AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE Phase 1: Hubs and priority buildings Start: November 1, 1995 Completion: August 15, 1996 Buildings to include at least, but not limited to, in order of priority; Bachelor Hall (East Quad) Benton Hall (North Quad) Gaskill Hall (Central Quad) Harrison Hall (Central Quad) Hughes Hall Including the Brill Science Library (Central Quad) King Library (Central Quad) Kreger Hall (Central Quad) Phillips Hall (South Quad) Shideler Hall (Central Quad) Installation is to include all relevant (as designed) Ethernet transmission equipment, and all work required at the station level (voice, data, video jacks and cabling). Video electronics may not necessarily work at time of building completion during this phase. Phase 5: Video systems external to buildings Start: February 1, 1996 Completion:August 15, 1996 Installation is to include the video infrastucture with all video transmission equipment required, together with video head end and satellite antenna installations. Video infrastructure is defined as those portions of equipment which exist external to the actual end point buildings. Phase 6: Initial hot hubs Start: November 1, 1995 Completion: August 15, 1996 Buildings to include: Brandon Hall Hoyt Hall Hughes Hall King Library Macracken Hall Tappan Hall Upham Hall Installation is to include providing, in seven (7) out of the twelve (12) hubs, the ability to connect an Ethernet device to the hub and maintain an 100 mb/s path to the main network at the end of the phase. Each hub shall have the capability of receiving two (2), 80 channel broad band video services from the head end. (One academic/administrative Service, and one entertainment service.) Optical fiber shall be terminated in order to receive the portable reverse feeds from all buildings. Phase 7: Complete hot hubs Start: August 16, 1996 Completion: August 15, 1997 Buildings to include: Campus Avenue Building Dorsey Hall Johnston Hall (Middletown) Mosler Hall (Hamilton) Shriver Cemter Installation is to include completing the remaining five (5) hubs as per the definition in Phase 6. Each hub shall have the capability of receiving two (2), 80 channel broad band video services from the head end. (One academic /administrative Service, and one entertainment service.)
