I am from Newport News and know about the coast and 96X.  It seems
as if once you pass Richmond they seem to disappear.  I am halfway
between Richmond and Washington and it seems that the only people
that have heard of them are either upperclassman (they played here two
years ago) or people from my area. Weird.
