Hi all,
Took a quick run out to Lake Milton (Mahoning Co.) today. Birds seen:
Bufflehead – 36
Ring-necked Duck – 12
Common Loon - ~30
American Black Duck - ~10
Pied-billed Grebe – 1
Mallard – 100+
Ring-billed, Herring, Bonaparte’s Gulls
Yesterday I birded around Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area (Trumbull Co.). Nothing of note was seen off the causeway. Around the wildlife area produced well over a thousand individuals of waterfowl. Species include:
Pied-billed Grebe
Tundra Swan
Canada Goose
Mallard
American Black Duck
Gadwall
Northern Pintail
American Wigeon
Northern Shoveler
Ring-necked Duck
Bufflehead
Hooded Merganser
Ruddy Duck
Bald Eagle – 1 Ad.
Ethan Kistler
