There were a lot of horned grebes around today (over 200). Most were all
moving east floating in small groups, but some were flying east. There was
at least one EARED GREBE and a possible second bird. The second bird was
just too far out. There were also a lot of common loons. I also had one
red-throated loon fly by low over the lake heading east. Not many ducks
around today.
Location- Lakeshore Reservation, North Perry, Lake County
Date- November 5, 2006, Time- 7:00-9:00
Weather- Cloudy, Winds- WSW 5 to S 15-10
Temperature- 41-44 F, Barometer- 30.41-30.42
Humidity- 64-60, Dew point- 30-31
Waves- 1-2 increasing to 2-3 ft, Flight direction- east
