Rocky River Park & Kensington Oval, Rocky River
Observer: Paula Lozano
First, I went to Rocky River Park to look for the Long-tailed Duck, which
was there. Then, I started counting loons. The largest group was NE of the
park. I counted 125, knew there were more, and moved to the overlook on
Kensington Oval. From that point I counted 202 Common Loons in ONE GROUP
feeding in the area NNW of the mouth of the Rocky River. There were groups
of Horned Grebes, too, and Red-breasted Mergansers in the water and flying W
to E.
