Was at Sims Park today from 3:25 to 4:30pm. There was
a little rain, 52F, winds SSE, lake smooth.
Highlights:
(All Scoters seen straight north of pier this PM)
Scaup sp 11 or 12 (one with Scoters)far east of park
Black Scoter 13
Surf Scoter 9
White-winged Scoter 1 (previously reported by others)
Common Goldeneye 11 or so
Bufflehead 14 or so
Red-breasted Mergansers - few dozen (more further east
and at Eastlake) 350 seen 11/6 at Sims
Common Loons - at least 5 or 6
Horned Grebe - at least 16
Bonapartes - few flying
WB Nuthatch 1
WT Sparrows 4
Eastlake Power Plant 11/7 - seen by Tom Kellerman
Lesser Black-backed Gull 1
My Backyard under bird feeder 11/6
Fox Sparrow 1
