Stopped by Sims Park in Athens today for a quick walk. Sims Park is located
at the end of Avon Place off east State Street
Carolina Chickadee
Cardinal
Blue Jay
Crows
Turkey/Black Vulture
Red-tailed Hawk
Downy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
Tufted titmouse
May not be an exciting list to you all, but this was my first life
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker! We weren't even really birding today, just out
hiking for a bit! We also saw an American Kestrel on the way home off
Route 50W near the bulk food store.
I had a Red-tailed Hawk checking out this feeders just now, but it didn't
get any meals.
I look forward to meeting some of you at the Owl Symposium!
