Today was definitely the best of the year for gulls with thousands passing
by to the west. Included were single glaucous and Iceland gulls as well as
128 great black-backed gulls. Gulls in smaller numbers continued to move
throughout the day. depending on where they end up, there should finally be
some good gull numbers to look through. Also of interest was an adult
RED-THROATED LOON that was on the lake off my house for nearly a half hour.
It eventually floated out of site to the east.
