Ken Beers of Yellow Springs and I observed two Eurasian Collared-Doves
from about 4:30 to 5:15 PM this afternoon at Fort Jefferson. They were
perched on the utility poles running eastward along Weaver Station/Fort
Jefferson Road from the main intersection of the town. As I was leaving,
they relocated westward to somewhere near the intersection.
The family that lives in the house on the southeastern corner of the main
intersection is keeping a log of visitors to see the bird. They've also
put out lawn chairs in the backyard for the use of birders.
Cheers,
Paul Gardner
