On a very brief stop over at Kildeer Plains Wildlife Area at dusk last nite (11/10), Karin Tanquist and I had seven Short-eared Owls over one small field off of T108 just south of the intersection with C71. With a gorgeous sunset in the western sky behind them, they put on a stupendous show, with lots of loud barking and very low flybys close to the road.
Also had a second year Bald Eagle at Big Island WA during a drive through earlier in the day.
