Region, for the Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) , Lunch Lecture Series.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you anything about Jim. If you don't know who
he is by now, I'm worried about you! : ) Jim's knowledge and understanding
of Ohio's flora and fauna is legendary, and his fun and informative
presentations make him a highly sought after public speaker. BSBO is thrilled to
offer you this opportunity to see Jim speak and maybe you can do a little
birding in the marsh region [...]39_7Nov200703:34:[log in to unmask]

Apparently my post didin't get through last week, but the N Shrike is still on territory adjacent to Wood County Cricket Cove Park, Freyman Road . Park is located on Cygnet Road 2 mi W of I 75 at the Cygnet interchange. Take Cygnet Road to Mitchel lRd, turn left to Freyman Rd. Then left on Freyman. Bird is on territory both sides of Freyman at Mitchell in the scattered small hawthorn trees. Thursday evening we spotted it perched near the top of a hawthorn. Then it dropped down , fed for a few minutes and then returned the top of a hawthorn where it was easily seen. We also have a N. Mockingbird regularly using our suet
feeders.
