A quick report on the eagle nest located on Sand Rd. on Catawba Island. Nest is about a quarter mile north of the golf course, on the east side of the road. It is in some very large trees behind the houses there, I was surprised they would nest so close to a populated area. Saw one eagle on branch next to nest and one eagle inside nest. Hopefully they are egg sitting. Also spotted in past 2 days, 4 eagles in Medusa Marsh area, also spotted adult fishing in small pond on north side of Rte. 2 just south of the Sandusky Bay Bridge. At the other end of this small pond were 15-18 blue herons, and one white egret.
