Good morning,
Cowan Lake provided
12 Common Merganser
23 American Coots
30-35 Canada Geese
2 Great Blue Herons
2 Eastern Phoebes
several Red-bellied Woodpeckers (perhaps 2 pairs)
5 Blue Jays
4 Yellow-throated Sparrows
2 Mallard
Leaving Cowan Lake, right at the intersection with
350, I witnessed that Northern Harriers don't really
like to share kills with American Crows... I'll see
how those pictures came out.
Ceasar Creek beach was submerged, so I was able to spy
a good number of waterfowl from the picnic table in
front of the playset:
12 Horned Grebes
30 or so American Coots
7 Canada Geese
a lone Ring-billed Gull
That was pretty much it.
Have a great day!
Phil
