There was decent activity at Battelle-Darby Creek Metro Park this morning.
Highlight was a beautiful, male Kentucky Warbler singing loudly and allowing
great views from the southeastern part of the Terrace Trail. A male Hooded
Warbler was also seen singing nearby. Also seen:
Nashville Warbler (2)
Black-and-White Warbler (3)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (~10)
Black-throated Green Warbler (1)
Palm Warbler (1)
Yellow Warbler (2)
Common Yellowthroat (~8-10)
Hooded Warbler (1)
Kentucky Warbler (1)
Yellow-throated Vireo (1)
Blue-headed Vireo (2)
Red-eyed Vireo (2)
White-eyed Vireo (1)
Other notables:
Pileated Woodpecker (1)
Northern Flicker (1)
Eastern Bluebird (2)
Scarlet Tanager (1)
Baltimore Oriole (2)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (8)
Wood Thrush (5)
White-crowned Sparrow (1)
Plus other common species... It's always nice to get out!
