Coliseum grasslands (CVNP) - two Ammodramus sp. (I was
sadly able to get on neither one, though both looked a
bit dark in flight to be LeConte's), 5 snipe, 2 Vesper
Sparrows, and Pine Siskin
Jaite (CVNP) - a flock of 62 bluebirds descended here,
including many Yellow-rumps, as well; I've never
witnessed such a group of bluebirds; also, Rusty
Blackbird
Lorain Impoundment - quite dead; few sparrows, 2
Killdeer, typical Oct migrants in small numbers;
little movement on the lakefront with strong east
winds
Good birding -
