Observed and photographed a Dowitcher in non-breeding plummage at the Mudflats at Hueston Woods State Park yesterday. Checked with Jay Stenger for confirmation and?am waiting to hear back. There haven't been any postings of a Long-billed Dowitcher for a couple of years on the Cincinnati Bird Club site, but since this bird was still?molting and appeared several weeks later than the Short-billed Dowitchers should have been through here, it appears likely that it is a Long-billed Dowitcher. Pictures are at www.pbase.com/nsxbirder/long_billed_dowitcher, and any comments would be welcome.?
