On Sunday (had computer trouble, but thought worth posting anyway) we saw 20 snow buntings popping around a log on the beach reached on the trail through the nature preserve at Mentor Lagoon. They were remarkably unconcerned with our (leashed) dogs and we had a great view of them.
The buntings were the highlight, along with the lovely green-yellow leaves of the trees, and who can't find joy at the mixed flocks of tufted titmouse, black-capped chickadees, and downies?
Enjoy the season!
Scott
