A male White-winged Crossbill appeared briefly this morning in our backyard - adjacent to South Euclid's Nine Mile Marsh. Haven't seen it since.
Coincidentally, discovered a Black-capped Chickadee w/ very long, "crossed" bills in the yard this morning too. It seemed to be feeding OK at the various feeders, but also spent a good bit of time picking seed off the ground, which gave it a very dusky (dirty) breast. That makes 2 crossed-bill species for the day.
