We had the pleasure of spotting our first Turkey Vulture yesterday afternoon (Friday, Feb. 20th) on our way to Toledo. We were on Route 2 about 2 miles east of the Ottawa National Wildlife area when he gracefully soared over. We were looking for eagles (one spotted near Davis-Bessie nest) when if flew over the road. We were somewhat surprised, it not being March 15th yet. Maybe a scout? Stopped in at the National Refuge, and they said we were the second to report it that day. Maybe spring is really coming! Looking forward to the red-wings, send them our way!
