Summit Lake was completely ice free as recently as Sunday. This afternoon, a modest sliver of open water at the north end had a nice variety of water birds including a basic red-necked grebe, actively diving, best seen from the boat ramp at the community center. I was unable to pick out any red plumage so look for head shape and the large, yellow bill.
Peace,

For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:16-17
