Today, March 6, two White winged Scoters and two Long-tailed Ducks were seen from the marina at Cowan Lake. The Bald Eagle was seen and there were a variety of other ducks in fairly good numbers.
At Spring Valley Wildlife Area several Tree Swallows were seen over the lake. Wood Ducks were also seen flying around, probably a dozen in all. There are a few puddle ducks at Spring Valley but not in significant numbers Shovelers, Pintails, wigeon, Gadwall, GW Teal. Also seen were Bufflehead, Ring-necks and coots.
