As many as three Long-tailed Ducks were seen at Cowan Lake today, but the
birds may be elusive. I saw the male, another birder saw the male and two
females, and a third missed them altogether. All sightings were from the
Southshore Marina. A total of 16 species were seen; 733 individuals, over
half of them Lesser Scaup.
