I just received another call at the Wildlife District 3 Office from a
caller reporting 12 white pelicans at the Clay's Park lake near Canal
Fulton in Stark County. Clay's Park is open to the public as a swimming
beach, picnic area, etc. (and is also home to the annual Yankee Peddler
craft fair in September). The white pelicans are reported to be loafing
on a very small island less than 100 yards from the swimming beach in
this small lake.
I intend to visit this site today after work to confirm.
