Hey...
I just returned from vacation birding the Central Oregon Coast. It is hard to believe that I would read that you got a Northern Wheatear in my backyard while I had to go to Oregon to get one. Our Wheatear enjoyed his/hers photo-op also. It would be nice if warblers would be so cooperative.
Got some other birds too, including a Black-footed Albatross: that's what I love about birdwatching...the birds that you absolutely know that you will never see fly right up to you.

The bird was actively foraging and highly visible in the area to the west (right) of the house for most of the time I was there (6:15- 7:30 PM). Several times, it flew into the driveway (to grab a bug) less than 20 feet from where we were standing! Spectacular! Nice to get a life bird in Ohio again!

>Hopefully this bird stays around for a while longer- it certainly didn't seem bothered by our presence (I guess it may never have seen a human before) However, Mr Yoder did comment that this evening it was perching much higher and foraging in a much larger area than he had previously noticed.
