Hi All,
Lauren Harter, David Vander Pluym and I birded Ottawa NWR. Among a roosting flock of Bonaparte's, Ring-billed Gulls, Common and Forster's Terns, we found a first-cycle Franklin's Gull on Crane Creek by pool 2b. Also on 2b, we had 4 Semipalmated Plovers as well a flock of ~ 12 peeps that was too distant to get any positive id's on before it disappeared. Also seen were 2 Dowitcher sp. (again, too distant to confirm Id) and 7 Lesser Yellowlegs on Crane Creek.
The Franklin's Gull was at about 41°37'27.75"N, 83°12'42.47"W.
Good Birding,
Richard Aracil
