There were two Long-tailed Ducks visible from the dam overlook on Milton Lake Saturday afternoon at about 4:45 pm. These birds had been reported earlier in the week at this location.
Like others that I meet at Berlin Reservoir, I could not resist the temptation to experience the spectacle of the Long-tailed Ducks in northeast Ohio. Besides, Saturday, was a gorgeous day. The three Long-tailed ducks were easily seen at Berlin Reservoir on the south side of the Rt. 224 causeway at about 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Saturday. I checked Milton Lake near the dam before heading back south.
