There was a lot of activity at Station Rd. early.
Highlights included Cerulean , Prothonotary,
Tennessee and Hooded Warblers, Scarlet Tanagers,
and a RT Hummer on the nest. The nest is in
one of the Sycamores right on the trail. Very Cool.
The meadows of the upper Langes run trail yielded
Yellow-throated & White-eyed Vireos, YB Cuckoos,
great looks at a Blue-winged Warbler, and lots of
E. Towhees calling.
On the way home, a quick scope of the fields at the
Old Coliseum ( RT303 at I 271) site turned up at least
4 male Bobolinks.
