This morning at Pipe Creek State Wildlife Area in Erie Cty. we found an immature male Yellow-headed Blackbird - along the outer dike (Sandusky Bay/north side) of Unit B.
There were Snowy Egrets in the double digits there, along with good numbers of Common, Forster's & Caspian Terns - mostly in Unit B. Most of the shorebird species were seen in Unit B too.
Shorebirds at Pipe Creek SWA and Pickerel Creek SWA (Sandusky Cty.) totaled 11 species - nothing exceptional.
