Zaleski State Forest is located 14 miles south of Nelsonville(Rte
33), off of Rte 278. Clear Creek Metro Park is located on County Rd 116,
off of Rte 33, south of Lanscaster. Jason Simonis & I went to Zaeski
State Forest & then Clear Creek Metro Park on Tuesday(Aug 31st). We had
a great day with 23 different Warblers, 2 Adult & 1 young Olve-sided
Flycatcher. One adult was seen alone & an adult & young were seen
together. The young was hanging out with the Adult. Also a huge
Humminbird flew a few feet from me & landed less than 10 yards away on
the top of a sunflower. I focused in on the bird & saw a very large,
dark,downward bill & a dark Hummingbird. I think it was a Green
Violet-ear. Below is a list of some of the birds seen.
