The Northern Shrike was at Froehing Meadows in Bainbridge Township last evening, between 5:15-5:45 pm. I observed it from the pave walking path around the small wetland; the shrike was in flying between a few trees east/north east of the wetland. Eventually it flew off towards the south & Chagrin Rd.
Shortly afterwards I saw a young juvenile bald eagle on the ice at LaDue Resevoir, standing near a goose carcass that can be seen from Valley Rd. It flew up into a tree adjacent to Valley Rd were I was able to get a good look at it and eventually flew off to the North.
And I still have Common Redpolls coming to my feeders in a mixed flock with American Goldfinches & House Finches.
