During a week that has seen a real influx of white-throated sparrows
at Geauga Park District's The West Woods Nature Center feeders, the
past two days have brought new arrivals.
Yesterday 4/25 featured our first rose-breasted grosbeak and a field
sparrow. Today, it was two male rose-breasted grosbeaks, 5 purple
finch, a ruby-throated hummingbird and a Baltimore oriole working both
the hummingbird and oriole feeder, having to chase off the downy
woodpeckers to get to the nectar ports.
