> Had an olive-sided flycatcher begging for beer Thursday afternoon in Worthington (seems a tad early). Wasn't going to post, but then I noticed it was not yet included on the Franklin County list, and therefore Bill might waive my 25 cent posting fee. Also had a blue-winged warbler bee-buzzing away on my bike ride home (olentangy path from downtown to Worthington). Didn't hear/see the golden winged or bittern.
Banding has been great at the Whittier. Had two beautiful scarlet tanagers today (they glow like embers- make the NOCAs look dull!). Also had some good warblers recently, including a pretty male magnolia today.
Male hummer is vigilantly guarding his feeder in my backyard (a brightspot in all this rain!).
Hope to see everyone on the boardwalk soon!
Heather
