Hello Ohio Birders,
Sorry for the late post (due to computer access issues): Last Wednesday afternoon I saw a Laughing Gull among nearly 100 Bonaparte's Gulls on the open lake between South Bass and Kelleys Island. There was a large number of Bonaparte's (along with a few Forster's, Common and Caspian Terns) hanging out all week at the entrance to the marina on Middle Bass Island but I did not see a Laughing Gull there.
There was a single Cattle Egret in the grass alongside route 2 just west of the route 4 interchange Saturday morning.
Happy birding,
Dave Horn
