Hi evryone,
Sorry about the lateness, but sometimes life interferes with posting...
Beth and I visited some spots on the Cleveland lakefront on Thursday and
Saturday, both times late in the afternoon. Just a few highlights:
Thursday:
-American Kestrel at the top of a tree on Dike 14, visible from the parking
lot
-Common Goldeneye in the water by the 55th Street marina, among the many
American Coots
-Red-tailed Hawk eating prey at the edge of runway at Burke airport
-Northern Harrier (not a gray ghost‹female or younger bird) hunting up and
down along the berm along the northern edge of the airport
Saturday:
-among the many Red-breasted Mergansers, there was a small raft of a dozen
or 15 Common Mergansers near the Muni power plant.
No owls...
Best wishes,
Steve Cagan
