Hi everyone,
While I know that there are plenty of records of Common Grackles
overwintering in our area, the beautiful male who visited us this morning
was the first winter one we have had, I think ever. The bird took a look
around then left. I wonder if the long-delayed arrival of winter might have
chased him )and others?) off the marshes in search of food. Just an idea; I
donąt think Iąd even elevate to the level of a hypothesis.
Best wishes,
Steve
