I worked in short trips to several parks in Gahanna (NE Columbus suburb) yesterday and noted an influx of Chipping Sparrows. There's usually a day in late March-early April when the bulk of them show up, and this was it (about 4-6 days early). Other migrants still seem a little sparse compared to 3 days ago, but the list did include 6 Turkey Vultures, 4+ Tree Swallows, 10-12 Golden-cr.Kinglets, and a few Field & White-thr. Sparrows. No Coastal Plain warblers yet, even early ones like Yellow-throated and Pine.
