A three hour jaunt off-trail through the many ravines south and east of Kendall Lake in the CVNP this morning revealed quite a few Hooded Warblers that apparently dropped in overnight (8), along with a good number of Wood Thrush (5), Ovenbirds (4), Common Yellowthroat (3), Blue-winged Warbler (2). Especially welcome additions were the single Yellow-throated Vireo and the single Eastern Wood Pewee. I had 41 species total; the full list follows.
