I shorebirded the two big reservoirs in Geauga County this morning. Should
have gone to the LaDue dam it looks like to see some Black Terns, but I went
to the inflow of the lakes were I figured there would be mud. There was,
along with lot of birds, although nothing out of the ordinary when I was there.
The breakdown:
Headwaters Park off 322 near 608.
Killdeer - tons
Semipalmated Plovers
Peeps - Semipalmated for sure, Least likely
LaDue west of 44.
Osprey
Green Herons
Killdeer
Semipalmated Plovers
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Solitary Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Peeps - Semipalmated for sure, Least likely
I am sure there was more, but I left the scope in the car and took the dog
instead. Should have reversed that.
