Seen at 3:38 pm along east shore flying & feeding with Bonaparte's Gulls
(BOGU) south east of Boat Stake Area C. Scope necessary as I was at Stake
Area C on the west side just south of Smothers Road. I could see the
smaller size, more fluttery & faster wing beats than BOGU, the dark W on
the upper wing with dark into the primaries and the notched tail with dark
terminal band. Arrived at 12:30, started at the dam and worked my my way
north stopping at all pull offs to check for flocks of BOGU until I reached
Baldridge Boat Ramp. I found the Little Gull by returning south and making
all the same stops. If you look for this bird check every flock of BOGU.
I found it in a scattered flock of 20 or less BOGU.
