Birders,
From what I know right now, the following Rufous (and one
Rufous/Allen's) Hummingbirds are still on-site today and could linger to be
counted on a Christmas Bird Count in Ohio...depending on the dates of these
counts
Williamsburg, Clermont Co. (HY-F Rufous) [OHEF: East Fork Lake SP]
Fairborn, Greene Co. (female Rufous/Allen's) [OHGC: Green County]
Lewis Center AND Westerville, Delaware Co. (TWO AHY-F Rufous) [OHHR: Hoover
Reservoir]
Black Swamp Bird Observatory, Ottawa Co. (HY-F Rufous) [OHOT: Ottawa NWR]
I do not know if the AHY-M Rufous in North Olmsted is still on site...the
last report I remember seeing is November 9. But if it is, then it is in
the OHLK (Lakewood) CBC circle.
And other Rufous Hummingbirds still on-site in Ohio today (as far as I
know) but not within a CBC circle include birds near Canton (Stark Co.), in
Findlay (Hancock Co.), in Circleville (Pickaway Co.), near Chilliothe (Ross
Co.), and near Canal Winchester (Fairfield Co.).
