There was a nice movement of waterfowl again, gulls were slow. Of note was
a group of 9 scoters, 6 surf and 3 white-winged. I also had another group
of 2 white-winged scoters. There was a group of 2 long-tailed ducks. They
were flying behind a large merganser flock. Also of note was a flyby
merlin. I saw one here a week ago, so it may be hanging around somewhere.
This afternoon around 1:00, there was a moderate movement of gulls. They
flew until around 3:30. I checked them out now and then and had a couple
glaucous and a lesser black-backed. There were quite a few great
black-backed also.
