In heavy to light snow went to Battelle Darby (wetlands, Kuhlwein Rd.,
teal/harrier trais, metro park) in the morning where we found lots of
waterfowl but little diversity. Robins were on the move with over 650 in
the pasture (Broad & Big Darby Creek) as well as several flocks of A.
Crows, C. Grackles and Redwings at the Greenways wetlands. Red-tails are
paired (since about 2/11) and several harriers were hunting over the south
wetlands (across Nature Center). Here puddle ducks were abundant and
constantly in the air. A savannah Sparrow was seen at the metro park but
no other sparrows (save juncos). All landbirds were in tte mp woodlands

Waterfowl are definately starting to move and the abundand pools at the
wetlands are vdry attractive to them (even diving sp. when other waters
frozen)---look for Cinnamon Teal and Eurasian Wigeon in spring!
