Hello all,
The last week of May is consistently prime time for Red-necked Phalarope
passage through the region. So far this week, I've not been disappointed.
Yesterday, 28 May, Keith Norris and I had a pair (male and female) in a
closed area of Ottawa NWR in Carroll Township. And again today, we
stumbled upon a pair at Winous Point Marsh Conservancy in Bay Township near
Port Clinton.
I also noticed that there were 2 Red-necked Phalaropes reported from Cedar
Point NWR in Lucas Co. on Sunday, 26 May.
Now, if we could only be so lucky with a Red...
Good birding,
Justin
