A muggy 4th of July ride yielded a few nice birds.
Dickcissels remain at the Island Rd. and Capel Rd. intersection. I had great looks at a singing male which was perching on the wires south of Capel.
Also seen and heard were a good variety of flycatchers including Pewees,
Willows, Acadian and Eastern Kingbird,
plus a good number of Indigo Buntings,
Baltimore Orioles and a Scarlet Tanager.
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
