This morning I arrived at 7:00 am to find Buster Banish already viewing a Short-billed Dowitcher and a single Willet. Also, seen were Semipalm Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers, Spotted Sandpiper,Semipalm Plover, Killdeer, and Lesser Yellowlegs. At about 7:50 am a single Avocet landed and spent about 25 minutes refreshing himself. The eagle numbers continue with Buster counting 24. A few gulls were present today on the sandspit.
I left at about 8:30 as the dog walkers began to arrive.
