Hi all,
Keep an eye out for any unusual swallows/martins along the lakeshore. A Brown-chested Martin was reported earlier this week (Sep 9) near Hamilton, Ontario on the west end of Lake Ontario. Today an observer reported a 'possible' Brown-chested Martin in Erieau, Ontario, which is on the other side of Lake Erie from Cleveland. The latter sightinghas been retracted to swallow/martin sp. for the time being, but it's still worth paying attention to any Hirundinidae passing along the lakeshore.
