While at work and walking the crest of the upground reservoir on Route 4 and Tawa, there were at least two dozen snow buntings flying around the basin. There was also a short-eared owl and possibly a rough-legged hawk. There were many waterfowl on the water and some swans, but I did not have my binoculars with me to get a good id.
Though, the general public is not allowed on the land containing the upground reservoir or the reservoir itself, I thought people in the area could keep their eyes out for these birds being in the general area.
